Groaning sound when playing

My 7 month old is constantly making a groaning noise when he plays with toys and eating. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve seen the term stimming online so I’m not sure if it that.

7 months is so young, what's he like otherwise?

Quite a broad question but seems okay, he isn’t babbling yet but other than that is developing well.

If he's developing well otherwise I don't think there's any need to worry. My DD who is autistic didn't groan when playing but she had poor eye contact, didn't follow a point or engage in joint attention etc and she was stimming with hand flapping etc
He's likely just enjoying his play and food 😊 but if you're worried just keep a diary of things that worry you and let your social worker know etc

Sorry not social worker, I meant health visitor or GP!

My daughter did this. Just non-stop mooing for months as she played, from around sitting up age. It seemed to intensify when she was really concentrating on something. Can't remember when she stopped. She's now a perfectly NT 4yo as far as I can tell.

11 month old did this when he was around 7-8 months too. They're just experimenting with and discovering their "voice" at this age.

Ye it’s concentrating of any sort really and eating, it’s quite loud. Is very vocal as in been an moaner since born but this is different. Anyone else?
