Sleep- waking up in the night

My 13month wakes once in the night.
Is this normal?
I’ve read that much advice and guidance I’m not sure if it’s ok that she’s waking. She has her nappy changed as this is usually quite heavy and one bottle - settles straight away!

I know advice says they become routined and the bottle should be cut out; but the fight can go on all night. Can this naturally phase out by her? Or do I physically have to battle the fight over period of time. I ask this because I work full time and the bottle/ nappy change just works (I would love her to sleep right through though!)

Thanks

It's not ABNORMAL but it doesn't mean you just have to accept it either, and many parents will try to train them into being all night sleepers.

It does seem like the bottle and change is a routine which she expects. Break the routine, roll with the resistance for a week or two, and eventually it'll become the new normal.

You could try offering water instead, so she stops waking to be ‘fed’. Some people go straight to water, others slowly water the formula down until it’s just water.

My son woke once a night 13-16 months (a lot more before thar), i guess he just needed it. One night decided to sleep all the way through and never looked back.

There will be many children that age who will be waking more frequently than that.

My 20 month daughter has only just stopped waking up every 1 to 2 hours 🤪 id be happy with the one wake! They're all different it's just what's normal for your little one I think
