Birthday party - toilet advice!

My son is turning 4 this spring and we want to have a woodland party for him in. Forest space you can rent out. It’s a fenced area used for playgroups and private parties. It’s perfect, but, the nearest loo is a 5 minute walk away!

is this acceptable for a 4 year olds party? Or does anyone have any ideas for a reasonably priced camping-style alternative? Or is there something we can put on the invites which doesn’t sound odd?!

I don't see the issue with that.

Woodland wees also an option if a child is desperate?

It’ll be fine. Maybe make the parents aware at drop off to make sure they’ve visited the loo before the party begins.

You can always take a portable toilet and toilet tent for emergencies

Are the parents staying? I think this is key. You obviously can’t send a 4 year old off alone on a trek through the woods to the toilet or ideally not even with an unknown to them grownup. And you’d at least want someone to supervise a wild wee, like someone needs to know where they are, and again it shouldn’t be a random person taking them to wee. But if their own parents will be there, then that’s totally fine. I would just make sure to tell everyone on arrival to use the loo before coming to the party.

I’d just put it on the invitation. And just have water as a drink so they aren’t all quaffing juice down like Henry VIII.
