I have an almost 8 and 5 year old and currently pregnant with my 3rd.

always been on the fence about a 3rd had 2 previous loses and hoping this one sticks. Is it normal to completely freak out and wonder if we are doing the right thing or feeling like we are messing everything up!?

all I seem to see is horror stories as to how hard it is with 3! Please share the good 🤞🏻

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had the same gap with my 3, and it's worked really well. They are all grown-up now, and have a great relationship with each other, as they did as children. In fact DS1 & 2 both got on better with DS3 than they did with each other, I think he was so much younger as not to be seen as competition by them, whereas there was a bit of one-upmanship going on with the older two when they were teens.

3 is definitely more expensive than 2; you need a bigger car, bigger house, more child-minding fees, and there are logistical issues to consider, such as outings have to be more carefully thought through when they are such different ages, but I didn't find 3 was much harder than 2, and in some ways it was easier. The older would naturally play with the baby, and he had to fit into existing household routines. He was happy if he was included. I had to work out ways of letting the older ones do things like Lego without having it destroyed or swallowed by the little one, but all in all he was and is a pleasure and a bonus to our family!
I thoroughly recommend 3.
