Toddler Shoes

My 18months old will not walk in shoes. Not even inside the house. I have tried 3 different shoes and tried to make them as thin and flexible as possible so they don’t feel clunky on the foot.
but to no avail. It’s making it impossible to go to the park or play outside as I have to carry them between activities if it’s wet.

anyone else have the same experience?

My toddler is 20 months and obsessed with trying on my shoes. Can you encourage your LO to play with your shoes and theirs, to get them more familiar?

Not ideal for distances, but could you borrow some wellies from a friend for your LO to try? My toddler is always more enthusiastic about putting on their wellies than their trainers.

I've also managed to link the idea for mine that putting shoes on means an adventure (in as much as Tesco with swings on the way back can be an adventure...)

No shoes, no going outside unfortunately. They will soon learn that they need to put them on if they want to go outside.

Mine didn't like shoes either. We refused to let them get out of the buggy unless they wore shoes. Within a few days they wore the shoes.

If you want to soften it though, what about letting them choose their own? A pair of wellies?

Have you tried bobux xplorers or the vivo pluma knit toddlers?

Both good options for shoe haters x

What about waterproof booties over warm socks?
