What would help families in this day and age while raising kids?

We have endless advice, apps, and products — but families are more stressed than ever. What's actually missing? Curious what other parents think: What do you believe children need MOST that they're not getting enough of today? And what would actually make you feel like a better parent (that isn't more money or more time)?

Someone to help me sleep train my child. I spent years being unable to fully function because of sleep deprivation & was just too tired to try any new techniques.
Now my child’s older I could do with more affordable clubs. There are clubs after school but they don’t want to stay in school. Youth clubs would be good together with affordable swimming & drama clubs - fun out of school clubs to keep them off their tablets & encourage them to mix socially, in person.

Secure and permanent housing.

You say not time and money but those are ultimately the issue. We need a society where both parents can ideally have flexible jobs, can reduce hours or afford for one to be a stay at home parent. Children need more time with their parents when they can focus on playing with their children, talking to their children, helping them with homework, reading etc.

Unfortunately we live in a world that parents are often trying to juggle too much. I often hear the phrase we are expected to work like we don't have kids and parent like we don't have a job and it's not always possible with the requirements for a 2 X income parent to live and afford mortgages.

Kids need parents who have time to go to to the park or can walk home after school (usually a good time to chat to kid and it's good physical development). Time is the essence of what kids need in one way or another generally. Time to cook together (so less quick instant meals or it's just quicker to cook myself so I can get back to finishing work that I already paused so I can do the school run).

Somehow banning tablets for young children. You think with facial recognition technology there is a way to make tablets stop working when it's a under 2 year old watching it but then I also see how tablets support children with SEND to be regulated so I don't know if that would be right. Not saying no screen time, but even telly with lower stimulating shows is better than tablets with YouTube kids type videos for really young children. Ps I use a tablet with my kids and regret it hugely so I wish there was some way of it not being available for me to use when I was an exhausted and juggling work. It was easier to give my toddler the tablet and it grew from there. Am actively now trying to reduce the use of it.

All of this is spot on imo.
