Where does your new baby sleep during the day?

Hi,

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and we plan to have baby in a moses basket in our bedroom at night time. During the day however, do you also put them to sleep in the moses basket? Or is it better to use something else to help them distinguish between bedtime at night and bedtime during the day? If so, where do they sleep?

Thanks!

I usually use a moses basket but for this baby I bought a ........ wait for it....... gliding crib.

Its fantastic, plug it in switch it on and glides back and forward gently soothing baby off to sleep.

Wish I'd had one years ago.

Mine used to either sleep on the sofa with a blanket over her or in her pram.

Mine slept in their prams. The carry cot bit at first.

I think new babies sleep anywhere and everywhere!!! We had a bread sellers basket that we linned with a lambs skin for baby to sleep in at night and during the day we tended to be out and about - so she slept in her sling or pram. Hope this helps! I am impressed - you seem very organised, meandspice, if this is the biggest thing on your mind! Well done!

teafortwo, I've driven myself crazy with the amount of reading I've done - gonna try and chill for the last few weeks now and forget all the advice I've received (which Im sure will go out of the window once LO arrives!) x

we set up the travel cot with the basinette bit in the living room. it also had a changing table bit which was useful to have downstairs after c-sections. This setup was especially useful second time around as big brother could see his brother sleeping but couldn't reach.
we used the cot for nighttime right from the beginning too.
i don't like moses baskets though. bit too flouncy for me.
