I have a bookworm 7 year old daughter so starting a thread on favourite books.
At the moment it's the --story treehouse books.

She also loves her weekly phoenix.

In the past it's been:
Rainbow grey by Laura Anderson.
Dog man.
Bunny Vs monkey
Mr men books
Enid bylon fairy tales
Dick king smith books.

What are your favourites?

A librarian recommended impossible creatures by Kathleen rundel but DD wanted the treehouse book instead.

If she's seven, and still into Enid Blyton and Dick King Smith, Katherine Rundell's books might be a bit of a stretch for her at the moment. Of her books, I would highly recommend Rooftoppers!

See how she goes with some of the more "grown up" Enid Blyton books if she's a fan for the next few years, like The Naughtiest Girl, Malory Towers, St. Clare's and the Famous Five. Some of the Roald Dahl books might be suitable, and some of Hilary McKay's (she does books for younger and slightly older audiences)... I'll have to have a think for more, as I need to go back to work!

My 7 year old DD has enjoyed the following.
Danger Gang by Tom Fletcher.
The Thames and Tide club books and the Appletree animal agency by Katya Balen.
Ariki and the Giant shark, and Ariki and the island of wonders by Nicola Davies.
Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell, some of her other books she's had read to her, but one she found too scary - not sure which but i think it was an impossible creatures one.

Zoe's rescue zoo by Holly Webb.
A lot of the Jacqueline Wilson books.
The diary of Wiska wildflower by harriet muncaster.
Grimwood by Nadia Shireen.
Dork Diaries.

Unfairies (I've not read it myself but my 7yo loves B vs M, Treehouse, and is reading it).
Looshkin and Donut Squad are also Phoenix so she might have read those.

The Allan Ahlberg "Gaskitt family" books.

If you don't mind it being quite American then Timmy Failure books.

The dick king smith books was a while ago I think. It's all phoenix and treehouse now. She did like the famous five but is also still into young things like paw patrol (I hate this) and Thomas tank engine and the Julia Donaldson books, other library books my 3 year old chooses.bl After reading about volcanos she declared she prefers non fiction but spends more time on fiction.

Mine also enjoys non-fiction. Currently getting a lot of value from "There's no such thing as a silly question", great factual book you can dip in and out of.

He also liked the Alien Project X books but they mainly had them as school and only a few at our library.
