Should I let her go?

First time mum here. My daughter is 4 years old and in reception. When she was at pre school, she was "friends" with another girl only 3 months older than her. Towards the end of pre school, like the final 2 months or so, she had some problems with this girl - she'd tell me the girl said things to her like "you're not pretty" "I'll put you in the rubbish bin" and even at times scratched and punched her, though she mentioned the punching months after she stopped going to preschool. I raised it with the nursery at the time and the staff claimed to not have witnessed anything and said they said they would keep an eye and also inform the parents of the other girl. Whenever I saw the little girl at pick up and at parties, she was very friendly and chatty towards my daughter. I can't confirm that nursery ever did speak to the parents. They thankfully didn't end up going to the same primary school. The mother of the child has recently sent an invite to her daughter's next birthday party, to my surprise. When I told my daughter about the invite she said "will ** be silly at her party?". I'm tempted to say we can't attend but not sure if I'm overreacting.

I would just make an excuse of your busy that date and not go especially if your daughter still remembers the other childs bad behaviour.

Why would you bother going to this, you have moved on and you will only end up inviting them to your daughter’s party and keeping ties with them.
Unless they were amazing friends, which they were not, then there is no point going to this party or having any more to do with them.

I wouldn’t bother, there’s no friendship to maintain.
