How much help will my baby get at nursery?

10 month old is about to start nursery. At mealtimes he likes finger food, though he chucks it everywhere but equally likes to be spoon fed for eg yoghurt, soup. When he’s using his hands, I’m still breaking things into pieces, putting a few bits at a time on his tray, scooping up the bits he can’t see off his bib etc

Whats a normal amount of help to give babies this age for nursery lunch? They obviously don’t have 1:1 feeding like at home! But he’ll be the youngest there and I can’t imagine him just being able to get on with it himself. What oils they normally do?

Best to ask the nursery directly but If it's anything like ours I think there one adult always sitting with 2 or 3 of the babies (whatever the ratio is) and will help as required. They won't be left alone to eat

Is he in a baby room at nursery? They’ll have a 1:3 ratio so he should get reasonable help at meal times. I wouldn’t expect them to be breaking up bits of food and handing to him or picking bits off a bib, but would expect food to be served in appropriate sizes for his age and help with spoon feeding.
