Dribble rash now bleeding?

My boy is 6 months, teething, drooling like a champ plus we've recently started weaning. He's got what I assume is dribble rash underneath his chin that has slowly been getting worse despite our efforts (bibs, vaseline, sudocrem, trying to keep dry and clean etc).

Any one got any further recommendations/products/tips that have helped?

He's woken up this morning with it now bleeding as I think he's been scratching it overnight :(

Is it worth trying the GP? It's a nightmare trying to get hold of them so we've just been trying to sort it ourselves for now and I didn't know if they could actually prescribe anything for it 🤔

My dc had a very bad dribble rash and the GP prescribe a steroid cream that helped it to heal, and then after that we kept it away by keeping it dry and clean. I would definitely go to the GP as I find once a rash is that bad it is very difficult to get rid of without getting something prescribed by the GP.

Thank you for your reply. I will call the GP tomorrow :)

We found totsi bibs a cut above the rest, we had a huge number when DDs drool was at its worst, it really seemed to help her skin. Sorry can’t remember what cream we had, probably sudocrem. I think the mega drool was one more problem that disappeared when we realised she had a cows milk allergy and cut daily/soy. https://totsi.co.uk/

My DD (now 8 months) had what I think must have initially been a dribble rash for months, but it got a lot worse around starting weaning. We just worked out that she actually has an egg allergy and since cutting out eggs it has almost completely cleared up. Just a thought to think about other causes.
