Sleeping bag 0.5 tog for 21.5 morning

My son is 2.5 years old and he has eczema since he was four months old. It's not as bad on his face with just mild patch every now and then but there are some spots on his body and leg which we are controlling with medication.

My concern was that whether the clothing we give him is adequate. We give him cotton coverall in a 21.5 degree room and no sleeping bag or blanket. Do you think he will be cold? We also have 0.5 tog sleeping bag which we think it may be too warm if we give him especially he has eczema too. Maybe we are overthinking but I guess we should give him 0.5 sleeping bag as he might be cold.

I use this chart all the time - https://www.babycentre.co.uk/a25024140/what-should-my-baby-wear-at-night-infographic so id probably be using the sleepsack at that temp. Is he waking though? If he's that cold, you would probably know about it. At 2.5, you could also start to transition to a toddler duvet, so if he gets too hot, he'll just kick it off in the nighttime.

Making sure your baby isn't too hot or too cold at night can be tricky. Our infographic has everything you need to make sure your baby is comfortable.

I would say that's definitely too cold. I'd have a long sleeved vest and at least a 1.5 tog sleeping bag at that.
Room between 19 and 20 here and they're in 2 5 tog

My DD is in a long sleeved vest and baby grow, and a 1.5 tog sleeping bag in a 21 degree room

I think that room is far too hot. My eczema is much better at cooler temperatures. Flares when central heating comes on is very common amongst eczema sufferers.

I would turn his radiator down and give him a sleeping bag or at 2.5yrs could try a light toddler duvet.

21.5C is quite warm for a room temperature.

I always used the gro bag chart. Looking at that, at 21.5C, in a long sleeved suit like you posted, he should be in a 1.0tog sleeping bag.

At the moment, it’s a bit like you in your pyjamas with no duvet or blanket. You’d probably be pretty cold sleeping without a duvet or blanket even in long sleeved pyjamas.

Yeah it is hot but it's summer here and the temperature goes up in the morning and we have north facing window which is the sunny side in southern hemisphere. We have a fan that turns on automatically when it gets above 26 degrees so i was wondering what to give if it gets to that temperature around 21.5 range. Many here have said that he will not just be cold but colder as even 0.5 tog won't be sufficient yet alone not giving any sleeping bag.

It's just my next half that doesn't listen especially because of his eczema. I just tell her that it won't be cause of a concern even if it gets to 26 degrees in the morning and the fan is blowing while he is dressed with that coverall (romper) and 1.5 tog sleeping bag. I show the chart, chatted with AI and based on that I should be giving 1.0 or 1.5 tog sleeping bag on top of that romper but she goes like no, even that 0.5 will make him overheat which will exacerbate his condition. He wakes up in the middle of night probably because he is cold yet my wife thinks he is waking up because is hot where in fact it is just 18-21 degrees. She is quite at the other end rather that been in the middle. Even after showing the chart, the chat from AI and this page doesn't convince her and she won't budge even the slightest. I have to put up with her everyday.
