Hi , i’m going out of my mind. I need some advice please.

This may sound OTT to some of you but…

Yesterday my 2 y/o was playing with his big brothers electric drumstick toy and the end came off. He had it in his mouth and I immediately got it off him and put it up on our high shoe rack (toddler absolutely cannot reach) I’ve started cleaning and then got back to get it this evening and it’s gone!!!

No one has seen it and my middle child is a very unreliable source of info bless him. He’s make something up if he can’t remember.

I’ve emptied the entire house and turned it upside down. Pulled everything out.

I’m freaking out incase my youngest somehow manages to find it and puts it in his mouth again. You know how they have a habit of finding these things!

I don’t know what to do.

We’re going out for a christmas meal on Friday and i’m scared to leave with MIL just incase he finds it and she doesn’t notice or in Jan we have a weekend away just the two of us and what if he comes accross it then? I feel like I want to cancel!!!

Any advice please?

Calm down.

Have a look for it tomorrow on the shoe rack. Have a hoover round.

Then move on.

If you're always this highly strung do speak to your GP about some anti-anxiety meds.

Thanks. I have looked absolutely everywhere and looked again. I will look again tomorrow. It’s because the size of it is dangerous if it’s in his mouth. I worry so much about these things.
