Should we drop the nap at 16 months

So our youngest is 16 months, her big sibling dropped their naps completely by 12 months but then would sleep 6.30-7am. On the odd days she hasn’t had a nap she sleeps 7-8am, however even a 40 minute nap and I’m struggling to get her asleep before 9. Not sure whether to drop the short nap she has but she does become unsettled around 4-5pm if hasn’t had any nap

Every child is different let her lead you. If you drop the nap and she’s overtired she’s more likely to wake up during the nights xx

Yes I might play around with maybe just giving her a 10-20 minute power nap, she seems to settle and sleep best of all on nights when she’s had no naps but then she has a happier afternoon if had a nap

Mine was like this. The only thing that worked was dropping the nap I 'm afraid

I would, my eldest didn’t need a nap after 18m and my youngest was only a little older.
I’d take an easy bedtime and good nights sleep over nap time

Sleeping for babies needs to be a routine, but it also requires a leading into sleep. before i sleep i heat the rooom slightly, and listen to music. I try to sleep at the same time every night. It works for the most part. Its upto you, it might be good to drop the nap.
