Worried about babies weight

Hi everyone, I’ve been a MN member for a while but it’s the first time I post. I have a 10 month baby boy, and for the most part he is a happy, healthy baby, although he started nursery about a month ago so we have been battling the standard diseases (tummy bug and cold, almost back to back). I took it upon myself to book an appointment with our HV as I was a bit worried about my DS’s growth—he had been growing quite steadily but for the last few months I have not noticed much growth in length or weight. Anyway, we went to the appointment today and he weights 8.03 kg—he has only gained 80 grams since his six month weigh in :(. Basically he’s gone from near 50th percentile to 11th. He still breastfeeds—1 feed in the am, 3 4oz bottles at nursery, 1 feed before bed and typically 2 feeds motn. He is also eating solids 3 times a day (although he’s not always wanting to eat lots and we don’t force it if so). His meals I think are appropriate (eg, yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, tuna pasta for lunch and chilli con carne and sweet potato for dinner). Has anyone gone through something similar and has any advice as to how to increase his weight? I don’t want his growth to become stunted/affected if there’s anything I should be doing that am not doing. To add, I’m going to see the HV team again next week for his 1 year development appointment so I am planning to follow up with them, but in the meantime I am worried sick as I cannot help but feel am responsible for this.

Their growth does slow down after 6 months. And is he super active?

I'd start making sure the food he is eating is calorie dense, they need a lot of fat and carbs. Mine was also having 2 snacks at this age, on top of 3 meals and breastfeeding 5-6 times a day. But he was also walking at 10 months so he was ravenous.

@BoyFTM645 thanks for replying! Yes, I’d say he’s super active. He’s very restless and when awake never stops moving—he’s also currently standing and working really hard on cruising using furniture so I was wondering whether he’s burning a lot of calories. Will look into more caloric food—I thought I was giving him sufficiently dense foods but clearly he needs more!
