Hi there,
I'm a FTM with a 9mo who just had her HV review. The HV remarked on a couple of things – that DD is not crawling, not touching her feet, she doesn't reach for herself in the mirror. I'd been mildly concerned about this as our NCT group babies were all born within weeks of each other, and DD is second oldest, but isn't crawling or attempting to move around like the rest of them.
She also sways/flaps her hands a lot, which – of course – I'm now anxious is stimming from ASD. She also dislikes being held and arches her back to get away.
Her nursery have also commented that she really needs to get moving at this age.
I know all babies develop at their own pace, and we have another review scheduled for January, but I'm suddenly going out of my mind with worry and that next appt feels SO far away.
Any advice very welcome. I should clarify that of course I'm prepared for any eventuality, it's just the not knowing that's causing the upset.
