My son's behaviour

Hi, I'm just asking for suggestions because I don't know what to do. My 16 old finished school in September. He wanted to go to college and do game developing. He started and was going okay till 2 weeks ago when he didn't want to go again. He will give tge excuse of not hearing his alarm. He only goes to college for 2 ans half days.I spoke to him to find out the reason but he's not telling me. I spent over 20 minutes trying to speak to him but he's not saying anything. He did say there is a reason why he doesn't want to go again but he's not telling me. I got his dad to ask him too but he's just not talking. He said the college is fine and he likes the course. I asked if maybe someone was being mean to him but he said no. When I kept asking, I could see sadness in his face but he's still not saying anything. I asked him if he will tell me the reason and he said no. He said he's looking for a job but which job will take him without qualifications? He wants a job doing game developing but no one will employ him because that needs a higher education like a degree or even masters. He's always been an introvert and very quite. He needs to resit his maths GCSE and he was gonna do that as part of his college course but now he has decided not to attend, I don't know what to do. Should I force him to go to college? What if I force him and he pretends to be attending but not actually going? I'm just so confused? He's my first child and I worry about him a lot because of his personality. He has no friends and he mostly just stay in his room.

If it’s a sixth form college for teenagers I would contact the tutor. Tbh I would probably contact the tutor even if it’s a more adult style college. Ask if they know of anything that could have caused this.

I would contact the college to enquire whether the tutors has noticed anything in classes.

Seriously what do you want people to suggest in addition to what you've said??

If he wants to be a game developer he needs Maths GCSE.

Unless he's some prodigy whizz kid ( and he's clearly not) he'll have to put the bloody work in
