My dd wets really heavily at night and her Naturebaby can't hold it all, she is waking up wet at the moment
Are any others more absorbent?
TIA

Yes but had terrible probs as quite skint and using Yummies that have elasticated plastic pants which dig into dd as she is quite skinny so they have to be tight round her waist to stop the legs leaking, and they are massive and no liners cover the middles and I hate evrything about them, rah!! Also had to boost manically when she did mini wee's, now she does floods I wouldn't stand a chance!!

Hmm sorry to rant!
Could try a booster in a disposable, could just see it scrunching and falling out, I might give it a whirl anyway!
Thanks

Have you tried Asda's "Ecobaby" nappies?
Not sure how eco they are but better than your bog standard nappy I'd have thought.
I use them and find them reliable.
They are quite big. Naturebaby are quite slim fit in comparison.

yuo can get disposable boosters.. from boots. they sell em to boost their washables i think, dunno, but theyre like giant sanitary pads

sounds like the washables ytou tried werent up to much. tbh, at toddler stage its a bit much to outlay 'just in case' it works (to try other kinds) it occurs to me (and i am v experienced in matters nappy-related be they cloth or sposies.)

nature babies the most absorbent of any eco disps ive tried. by far.

i used to double bag my heavy-wetting toddlers at night, with a nature babies and a pampers pull up on top. that did the trick.

pamplemousse · 05/06/2008 21:57

I can't but pampers, whineeeee, they will be here for years and years and it makes me guiltier!
Oooh but maybe I could buy Naturebaby pull ups, only seen them in Waitrose though so will make a trip, will pop into Asda and get some of the ones Rowlers suggested as well.
Thanks ladies x
No my washables were rubbish, I was given some Tots Bots size 1 and these were great, it was when we had to start using the sure start freebies that it all went pear shaped!

meh, nature babies pull ups are, um, ok i guess.

yes, give it a try; a nature nappy held on with a nature pull up. worth a try. (pos try a size smaller in the pullups as the nature ones seemed loose iirc)

My ds also wees alot at night and easily wets through the nature baby nappies,

my solution is to put a pair of plastic pants/wrap (motherease or tots bots) over the top of the nappy. these wraps have material round the edges and don't cause him any problems, and these are easily adjustable which is good because he is also very slender around the waist and thighs

(i have lots of these as i put him in washables during the day, but disposables don't leak as quickly as my washables so i prefer them for nightime.)

pamplemousse · 05/06/2008 22:10

Ten10 does your ds wets so much they are sodden and falling apart? My dd also sleeps for 12 hours at night so I guess this is a lot of wee to contain...?
How does a wrap help? If the filling absorbant stuff is full, its full...? Sorry that doesn't sound very polite, I'm not being rude, just wondering?
BoyztheShire thanks for the sizing tip, was planning to get a size bigger but won't now

the nappies are not so wet that they are falling apart, just that it used to wet through on to his sleepsuit etc,

the wrap just stops the wee doing this it,

but if your nappies are falling apart then it probably won't help,

(sorry)

Have you ever tried Tushies with a booster pad - my dd sleeps 12 hours and wees alot and they worked for her.

pamplemousse · 05/06/2008 22:31

Where to get a Tushie? Is it a reusable?

S'all right I researched. So Organic do a pack of Moltex, Bambo, Tushies and another one so I can try before I buy a whole pack - just what I needed!
Thnaks for help ladies

moltex are ace because they have a bit of that evil gel stuff in, they are by far the best I've tried, although with DD1 nothing would work nd she ended up sleeping in pampers active for bout 3 months when she was wetting heavily!

pigsinmud · 06/06/2008 14:59

I have used Bambo - they seem to fit dd2 better than the moltex.
