How is everyone doing it?!

Hi,
I’m wondering if there are others like me constantly behind, wondering what I’m forgetting, worrying about the kids, running here there and everywhere.

I have two kids under 5, dog, working full time in a demanding role, DH runs 2x businesses and no support village close by. We rely on childcare, work flexibility and coffee getting us through.

I enjoy working for the most part and want to keep at it to give our kids a life neither DH or I ever had. We are successful and certainly speak from a position of privilege. However, ALWAYS tired. How is everyone else doing? What are the tips to make life easier? Thanks

Do less or buy in more help.

I’m not dissimilar though we do have grandparents who help.
i think accept it’s exhausting if you don’t want to work less.
and as PP says, buy in help. We have a cleaner, occasional gardener (if we could afford would be regular!) and use gousto/hello fresh to help save meal planning.

You need to not compromise your health or your rest as priorities: raising kids is a long term thing and being healthy and rested will help you be resilient. I work part time still (DC are teens) in a full on role. DH works too much. I have outsourced laundry, cleaning, food thinking and shopping, childcare … not all at once but worked out my time was the most precious resource.

I'm similar but not successful (financially). Both work full time time but in public service. Tell myself I do it for the greater good and secretly jealous of everyone that can 'buy in' help!
It's a slog op. Especially with young children. I'm hoping it gets easier!
