DS maybe Grin

AmyDuPlantier · 14/10/2025 14:48

Yeah why not? If you were ill you’d just lay on the couch too.

gratefulmumm · 14/10/2025 14:49

Haha yes DS sorry!!

Can’t believe you’re asking

He is feeling like crap

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 14/10/2025 14:49

I wouldn’t let him all afternoon if he’s not used to it!
I would give him ice lolly and lots of cuddles and stories

Productiveam · 14/10/2025 14:51

You made the typo because the thread you started yesterday was about your DH wanting to spend all day chilling at home instead of going out!! 🤭

@Productiveam there is just so much out there saying how damaging screen time is for under 2s :/

One afternoon of Cbeebies isn't going to hurt.

I think screens like phones and tablets are more harmful because they are so close to it - it's all consuming. Just having the TV on in the corner of the room doesn't block out everything else going on. Stay with him. Chat about the programme, join in with the songs etc.

The TV was always on in our house and my 2 are now fully functioning adults who got great exam results at school, and have lots of friends. Their formative years were before phones and tablets. We've never had a games console.

Thankyou Seeline that is all good advice and very reassuring 😊
