6-8 weeks regression?

Hello my baby has turned 6 weeks and is all of a sudden fussy fighting daytime naps all day! Is this normal how long does it last for?
The only thing helping is white noise!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Varies baby to baby. Between 6 and 8 weeks there is generally an increase in baby fussing and purple crying peaks. My baby's only lasted for about 3 days, although friends said they had a rough time for a week or so.

Lots of cuddles and if your breastfeeding use that to help calm them. It'll pass!

Pram walks get longer and so do wake windows. Around this age, mine suddenly had a new mode - boredom. Five minutes staring at something noisy or shiny helped...

It’s not a ‘regression’, it’s normal newborn behaviour. They change as they develop. You’ll get through this one, have a few weeks of a new normal, then it will change again.

Yeah around that time naps had to start being in a dark, quiet room. They're more aware of their surroundings.
