Double pram recommendations

Can anyone recommend a double pram that fits this criteria?

Suitable for newborn and toddler (20 months)
Can handle rough terrain
Folds fairly compact and not too heavy

Ideally we would be able to pick up a decent second hand version as we also have an Ocarro in excellent condition and a bugaboo stroller.

We’ve heard good things about the outnabout nipper but struggling to find one to try in the flesh. I like bugaboo donkey but it’s so expensive.

The other one that fits your criteria is the Mountain Buggy Duet.

Did you see the Joie Aire twin buggy? It depends how rough your rough terrain is but we found it fairly decent for most off roading.

Out and about are fantastic. I walk dogs with it every day in a very rural part of the country and theres not much it cant handle. Its also so smooth and light to handle on any terrain. Dont have complaints from either kids and it has pockets and pouches all over it which is great for snacks juice and everything else!!

@Oglefish95 do you have a newborn in your outnabout? Do you need to buy a carrycot or does it lay flat?

@Harvestmoose I only used the carry cot for a new born because a friend lent it to me, but its quite narrow and definitely would not last the 6 months. The previous carry cots and adaptors all fit the new prams if you wanted to save a bit of money. One of my other friends also has the nipper and didnt bother with the carry cot they just used the lie flat seat from birth 😊 i dont think id of bothered getting the carry cot if i hadnt been given it to be honest, bit of a faff putting it in and out of the car taking the carry cot off each time and can be quite bulky when you have the carry cot to fit in a boot as well. My friend who didn't use it just bought a cosy foot muff to snuggle baby up in and they always seemed very happy in there!

Thanks we already have the Ocarro which does have a carrycot so probably wouldn’t bother as long as it lies flat in that case. Just need the double for when I have both DCs but DS1 is at nursery 3 days per week. It’s not super clear from the info online whether it lies flat!

@Harvestmoose I had the MB duet and also used it in conjunction with a single Mountain Buggy. So I didn't get the specific and more expensive carrycot that fits the Duet, but MB also make a 'cocoon' bassinet thing that just plops onto the lie-flat seat and you can clip it onto the frame. I was able to swap it between the two buggies really easily but I'm mentioning it because it would also work just fine for the Out n About (clips for frame just velcro on) or pretty much any lie-flat sling seat buggy. It was a bit cosier than the seat would have been on its own, easy to get in and out, and more convenient if you wanted to lift a sleeping baby out of the pram and put him somewhere else. They're a bit cheaper as well.
