Really worrying about child services

Hi, just after some advice. My partner has ME/cfs and applied a few years ago but lost at tribunal for PIP. The court advised us to apply again as they could see he had deteriorated but couldn’t take that into account. So we applied again and he had his assessment yesterday. Seemed to go ok and he described his worst days. We have 2 young children at home. I work full time but I’m able to work from home if needed and we rely a lot on grandparents who are a wonderful help. This was mentioned. My partner really struggles and on his worst days can’t get out of bed. Anyway, I’m worried after hearing/reading stories that they contact child services. Nothing was mentioned on the call but I can’t help worrying! Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you 😊

I get pip and I have a disabled child never been contacted I also use to work in social services (not a social worker) and Ive never heard of it.
unless there was some question of the child’s safety ie if the claimant was a single parent with no support network who couldn’t meet their child’s needs, I’m not sure why they would need to be involved.

Why would you be worried about the DWP referring to social services?
There are plenty of families who have a whole range of disabilities and illnesses and are also parents to children. You, by the sounds of it, are able bodied. You also have the support of yours/partner's parents for additional support.
I don't see why there would be a cause for concern based on that alone. Is there anything else you're thinking might be a cause for an intervention?
