Dropping dream feed 9 month old

Any tips on getting my 9 month old to drop dream feed? He goes to sleep in his own room around 7 and is waking around 10/11 for a feed, wont settle back down without one! He usually only has 3/4 ounces so not a big bottle.
any tips?

He’s still too young. Until 12 months is when they are meant to have milk only so why do you think he should be stopped? Far too young. Leave it until next year

Yeah I’d also say he’s too young. But what you’re doing isn’t technically a dream feed if he’s waking up for it. Why do you want to drop it?

Have you tried to preempt him by being the one to rouse him before he realises he’s hungry and fully wakes? You might be able to do it on your schedule then. My 8.5 month DS doesn’t wake fully when I dream feed around 9.45 pm. 5 mins ish and he’s done. But he is bf, so it may be easier.

If he’s waking, it’s not a dream feed anyway. I’d just feed him as you are going to bed (presumably around 10/11pm) and crack on. It’s much more important you get sleep. He will eventually stop needing it. Both of mine (formula and then bf) stopped having night feeds around 10 (formula) and 16 (bf) months. They still woke though, but weren’t interested in a feed or would quickly settle without one. The waking will likely continue, but eventually he won’t want the feed. If he does now, great, it’s an easy way to get him back to sleep.

So basically i used to give him a dream feed at half 9/10 and he wouldnt wake for it and mostly slept through after that!
i will to back to that! Thankyou!
