Looking for a budget folding highchair

Looking for a highchair for baby led weaning for my 6 month old. I know everyone recommends the IKEA one but our kitchen is tiny and there's not enough room so needing something that folds easily so we can move it after meals.
Not wanting anything fancy or expensive! Seen the Graco snack and stow and the Joie mimzy has anyone used either. Need something not too leaned back and with the tray that is removal for cleaning and that's not too far away from the baby as he's only small! Thanks for any advice or recommendations!

I had one that folded when I had my DC1 a long time ago. It was still huge when it was folded. I would recommend looking at any tou want to buy first.

Is there a baby sake near to you soon? You can usually pick things like this up and they’re generally a fraction of the price of new.

Have you checked led out the Weaning Section on MN too? Smile

We had a Fisher Price booster seat which fitted on to a dining chair- it had a tray or you could use it without the tray and push it up to the table. Might be an idea instead of a high chair- also handy for taking to grandparents etc as v portable.

The one we had seems to be discontinued- this is much fancier (and more expensive) but looks useful, especially the extra tray for BLW!

I have the mimzy snacker and it folds reasonably flat, but the tray is strangely difficult to store because it’s enormous and has a big sticky out bit that goes between the toddler’s legs, so you can’t lie the tray flat anywhere. It’s also really big when in use.

It does feel very sturdy and the baby sits very upright, though, and the big tray was really helpful when lots of food was being dropped!

We’ve got the Joie Mimzy for when DGS comes. It folds up really well and doesn’t take up much room at all, really. He’s always seemed comfortable enough in it, but he’s quite a big boy. We sometimes put it in the boot of the car if we’re going to be eating at MIL’s so it’s easy to transport, too.

This is a very modest size suggestion. The chicco pocket snack feeding highchair is great. We had a big highchair for home but bought this mini one to take out and about. We took it to restaurants. Plus it's great for when you go to friends houses who don't have baby gear and if friends with babies come round I have a spare highchair to offer. It fits in the pushchair basket and has been used so many times. We even took it abroad in a suitcase as the Airbnb didn't have a highchair. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7510160?istCompanyId=a74d8886-5df9-4baa-b776-166b3bf9111c&istFeedId=61efaf3e-c0cb-4811-923b-3b6919a35a1b&istItemId=qpxlptmma&istBid=t&utm_custom6=PLA&deeplink=true&gclsrc=aw.ds&&cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59157%7Cacid:629-618-1342%7Ccid:20378155429%7Cagid:%7Ctid:%7Ccrid:%7Cnw:x%7Crnd:3184738069196132750%7Cdvc:m%7Cadp:%7Cmt:%7Cloc:9044948&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=20378155429&utm_term=7510160&utm_content=shopping&utm_custom1=&utm_custom2=629-618-1342&GPDP=true&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19671790546&gbraid=0AAAAAD9II9ln7zb4JP1cXUic8nDyI4vxm&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo5C3_f7GjwMVUJlQBh3sfSnREAQYASABEgJBuPD_BwE

Don't get the Graco one you mentioned as it's way too reclined to be safe. The IKEA one will be fine, it's really easy to take the legs off for storage and it holds the baby upright.

Edited

Thank you he's only a small 6 month old and he sits well but still needs a small amount of support so not sure if he'll manage in the IKEA chair.
Also heard about the bebestyle one from Asda similar to the IKEA one not sure if support is any better in that?

Ikea and Asda chairs are pretty much exactly the same. You can get blow up cushions that fit inside them for additional support - I used them on skinny DS
