Lightweight pram for toddler and 5 month old

We are going on holiday soon with a 2.5 year old and a 5 month old. We have a Nina triv next which is a bit bulky to take on holiday so I’m looking for recommendations for a lightweight / travel pram. We will only take 1 pram and alternate the kids between pram/sling/walking, so I need something that will work for both kids without having to carry an extra bassinet attachment.

both kids are on the small side, and I’m struggling to find something that will work for both of them.

options I’m considering are the joolz aer+ or bugaboo butterfly. Would these work interchangeably for a toddler and a 5 month old? Open to any other suggestions

I would personally take your regular pram tbh. We have a cabin approved pram and originally it was great (2022) but I think most people have them now so we are never able to take it on board any more. We just have to hand it over at boarding like everyone with big prams. Next time we go away we will take our big one as it’s better for using for both our girls (3 and 9m) and the big basket is so useful for beach/pool trips.

If you want light weight for any other reasons though disregard what I just said!

I'd take your regular one unless you want a light weoght one.

Something like a leclerc or butterfly bugaboo that goes flat and they are strapped in...

I did this and took our Mountain Buggy Swift. But that is what we used as our everyday buggy anyway - we originally bought it for the toddler, but liked it so much we ended up just using it for the baby. DS1 was a bit older so we only actually needed to put him in the buggy at the airports with DS2 in sling.

I have the yoyo 3. It's great! Have used it since around 5.5 months.

Thanks for all the responses. I think we actually do want a lightweight alternative pram for general use and not just holidays, so I think it’s worth investing in one.

how did you find the yo-yo 3 for a 5 month old without the newborn attachment? Was it stable enough for them?

In that case I’d recommend the mamas & papas airo x

Yes, by 5 months my baby wanted to sit up anyway and the yoyo is quite reclined, it was totally fine. He napped in it a lot too. We took it on BA which was great as you fold it and put it overhead. I use it more than my bigger pram now as it's so easy to fold and put in the boot of the car.
