Please recommend wrap slings for a newborn

I will have a newborn and a 20 month old, I have a double pram but I plan on using a sling for the newborn on walks/popping to the shop etc I had a normal structured carrier for my current DD but I found it too structured and uncomfortable (could be because I only used it when DD was 5+ months). I like the look of the wrap ones, looking for recommendations please. Also is there a time limit on how long a newborn can be in them?

Koala cuddle band... Really easy to use, comfy and good value.

Close caboo newborn

Boba wrap or ergobaby aura wrap.

A carrier expert advised against the koala because it can be tricky to get the full support that newborns need.

Close caboo carrier, also I don't know where you are but the one you get in the Scottish baby box is super comfy (might be able to find one on Vinted if your not in Scotland)

I’ve seen the close Caboo recommended before, I know this is really silly but I was hoping for one that would hide my lower belly

Have a look and see if you have a local sling liabry 😊 this is usually part of your local children's services. They will offer you a selection of wraps / carriers for your baby, show you how to put them on properly for baby and rent them to you for free / very little cost. Great to try before you buy!

For a new born i prefer a soft stretchy wrap, i just got a relatively cheap one off amazon, found it very easy to adjust to size and cosy for baby. They are also easy to wash and dry if you have a sicky new born!

Any wrap which goes over your lower belly will be way too low for a newborn, they need to be held high enough that you can kiss their heads when they're in them.

I just used a stretchy fabric wrap and learnt to tie it. Much more comfortable than a structured one in the early months and can tailor it to fit so much better.

Baby needs to be quite high, as a rough guide he needs to be high enough so you can kiss his forehead. That's to prevent suffocation.

I had the ergobaby wrap. It was ok.

I’d check on vinted/ market place/ second hand shops for the wrap given in the Scottish baby box. It was great and you can see on YouTube different ways to wear it
