Leaving nursery gift

We are changing nurseries due to various reasons , but we do like the staff in the room. Therefore would like to get each staff member a gift. any ideas what to get?

They won’t be getting tons of gifts from others leaving as we aren't in a preschool age room.

There are around 5 staff to get gifts for! Id probably spend £10 or under each!

Any ideas?!

Coffee shop voucher? A £10 one make a nice gift.

£10 gift card is better than a random gift worth £10, unless you know them well enough to get something personal.

Can you think of any cheaper ideas like perhaps some nice chocolates maybe for each? As thinking more about the staff there are support staff also, so could work out expensive

A travel mug each, maybe w some hot chocolate or teabags. They can’t have an open cup at work.

They'll be badly paid, so I'm sure a £5 voucher would be more welcome than much else.

What about one of those gift cards that can be used across multiple shops?

For £5? Think the minimum is £10 on those. Love2Shop certainly is.

I got each one a bottle of wine, I checked they all drank first and the one who didn't I gave a £10 Costa voucher

Anything will be appreciated. My daughter works in a nursery and she likes being recognised best. At her nursery a load of kids left last week and she was upset that most parents just walked off saying "bye" without any sort of recognition. She isn't interested in gifts at all - a card or a heartfelt thank you is really what she wants.

My daughter had two teachers who she adored, and whom were still in contact with. We got a personalised tote bag for each, personalised with a drawing of daughter and her teacher and she wrote their names on the image too. They both seemed to love them and they were not expensive.

Do you think it would be reasonable for me to get the main staff a £10 voucher and the support staff £5 voucher or some chocolates?

I just soke to my daughter who worksvin a nursery. She says they appreciate it when parents leave chocolates or doughnuts, cakes, muffins etc for everyone ie to leave in the staff room plus a gift for the key staff.

It feels a bit unfair to get the lower paid staff a lesser gift, especially if they’ve done more of the hands-on work like changing nappies.

I’d send a big box of donuts/ chocolates/ biscuits for the staff and a card or email to the room leader thanking the staff - if you send an email then copy in the nursery manager.

A big tray of cupcakes, a hamper of nibbles, coffee, tea etc for the staff room always went down well when I worked in a nursery. That and a lovely personal message in a card, feeling appreciated is always nicer than a £10 voucher

My little boy had his last day at nursery today before he starts preschool in September! We did a thank you card for the 2 rooms he had been in during his time there and I just bought each room a £6 box of posh biscuits from M&S, I felt they could share them around all the staff then and maybe some of the children if they wanted. I wrote a bit for each in the card and my little boy signed them both x
