Recently my child. Has starting rolling on his side and tummy during his sleep i do constantly put him back on his back but he will constantly move back onto his side and tummy. What should I do. The HV says that he need to be on his back. But if I am sleeping when he is sleeping how can I monitor him

He's fine on his tummy once he rolled there himself is what I was told..

Yes as per pp. Once they can roll themselves there it’s fine to leave them on their front. Being able to roll there themselves is an indicator their back/neck muscles are strong enough to manage in that position now. It’s common for them to start doing this around your babies age.

It's fine, just leave him be.

Leave him to it! You place him on his back but if he rolls himself, he's fine! My DS' sleep massively improved when he could roll on his tummy, he prefers it (and to be fair, I also sleep on my stomach!).

6 month old is not going to suffocate (assuming he's on a proper firm cot mattress). They're pretty strong by now.

You’ve misunderstood. Always put them on their back at the start of night. Then from there they’re fine to get themselves into whatever sleep position they want including yes tummy sleeping. A 6MO with muscles developed enough for rolling has more than enough head control to not suffocate on their front providing that the sleep set up is safe- empty cot, firm mattress.
