Need stroller advice. Transitioning from 1 to 2 kids

Hello. I currently have a 2 year old and my second is due in a few months.
I have a Yoyo stroller (ideal for putting in the car and travelling) and a bigger, more bulky one which although flattens fully and is sturdy, its heavy.
I can't decide if I should:

  1. Get rid of bulky one and replace with a double stroller like Cybex Gazelle and keep Yoyo.
  2. Get rid of bulky one and find an attachment to Yoyo (which would mean second baby wouldn't have a big steady stroller (just a lightweight small one)
  3. Get rid of both strollers and buy the double stroller (but then what do we do with travel?)

In case you can't tell, I'm lost :)
Any advice on things to consider?
Thank you!!!

It depends how much you walk vs drive. I didn't drive much and found a double really useful, DD was still at a point where she'd sometimes fall asleep in the buggy and wasn't reliable at staying on the buggy board.

Facebook marketplace cheap double was perfect to get us through the first few months.

I wouldn't rush to sell on the singles though if you can as it wasn't long before she was walking most of the time, I kept a baby carrier for those times when I needed to put oldest into the buggy and carry the baby.

We had a similar age gap. Before DC2 we had a Bee so similar to your Yoyo.

I tried a Phil & Teds which I hated, then I got a second hand Nipper 360 double. Wonderful buggy, so easy to push, fits through a standard door. Loved it and highly recommend. So much easier having them both in buggy, until DC1 was rising 3.

I also kept the Bee and got a buggy board for it which was a great setup once DC1 was old enough.

Never felt the need for a sturdy pram for either baby- there was a soft cocoon thing that came with the Bee I think, that was great for both buggies.

The YoYo is useless for any kind of double combo- the buggy board is a nightmare, it’s hard to push with the baby in a sling because the handlebar doesn’t move. I wouldn’t get rid because it’s great for family travel when one of you can push whilst the other has baby in a sling, and for in a few years when your eldest is more like 4 and won’t need a pram or board anymore so it’s just for the youngest. So store away for now.

Big sturdy pram with a buggy board could be good and avoids buying anything else. Depends how easy it is to use every day though. Also, if youngest still naps or isn’t the type to quietly stand on a board you’ll really appreciate a double.

Oh really - that’s a shame- the Bee was great for a buggy board as the handlebar extended really far out. Also it could rear face (so the two kids could interact with oldest on buggy board ) I don’t think the Yoyo does?
