Nearly 4yo not dry at night

As the title said, my daughter is about to turn 4 (and start school in reception) and she still isn't always dry through the night. She's been toilet trained during the day since 2.5.

I know it takes longer at night, and is mainly hormonal therefore can't really be trained, but my problem is she point blank refuses to wear a pull up to bed. She gets really upset if I even suggest it and tells me she's a big girl, doesn't need to etc. We've got one of the waterproof sheets but we are constantly washing her duvet cover and pyjamas because 75% of nights she will wee.

We don't let her have a drink after dinnertime, she always has a wee last thing before bed and she doesn't have squash for the most part and never fizzy drinks.

Just wondering if anyone has been through similar and could offer advice?

Ds wore a pull up until well after 4 then was dry. He didn't have a choice whether to wear pull ups or not, I couldn't cope with all that washing.

Honestly? Just push on through it. The hormones will kick in when they kick in.

We found that moving to the Drynites pants made things easier as they look less like nappies due to the colours.

She was fine about it until we went away with her same age cousin (literally a week between them) who wasn't wearing a nappy and he asked her why she was. Wish it hadn't happened to be honest because now if I manage to get one on her she will just immediately take it off as soon as I leave the room.

Try some disposable bed mats.

My DS wasn’t dry at night until he was 5; I wondered if I should do something but all the advice was they’ll do it in their own time and you can’t do anything until they’re older anyway.
I would insist on the pull ups to be honest as that amount of bed washing would drive me crazy and just make her more aware of it

Crikey my ds wasn’t dry at night until he was 9 years old, he wore dri nites pants. I couldn’t imagine having him drench the whole bed every night. As it was we had a mattress protector and needed to wash his bedding at least twice a week. He only got dry in the end with a combination of medication and the bed alarm.
