Hi, I am looking for more insight into what would be the best recommendations for places to live for a young family in the Cotswolds, looking for somewhere where ticks the boxes on both young kids and them growing into teenagers as we don’t plan to move again. Thanks x

I probably won’t be much help as we live in a hamlet of 10 houses which wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea. However we’ve been here since DC were born and they have had a fantastic life and both love where we live - fab views, great neighbours etc. We are a mile from the closest village but also only 4 miles from the nearest town and 8 miles from a city/larger town with lots of amenities.

They get a bus to secondary school and have lots of friends and go out with them. Probably a few more lifts required for parties but they are all pretty local.

At 18 and 16 neither want to live anywhere else 😊

If looking for slightly more going on I’d say Tetbury & Cirencester are lovely but not much for teens or close to Cheltenham would be good

Malmesbury (great secondary school)

Cirencester

Stroud (Rodborough, Chalford)

Depends what you’re after …

On schools - there are grammars in Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester if this is part of your search. As @TwoWheelzsays Malmesbury is a great school as is Balcarrus in Cheltenham (both comps)
