many thanks

You might prefer one that converts from a single to double depending on if dd is at nursery at all or you are likely to be just you and new baby often or if you are planning on keeping the pram until the baby is a toddler.
I had a Nuna Demi grow for my 22 month age gap which I could also fit a buggy board on to, it was heavier than a standard single pram even in single mode but a great pram for all the options it offered.

I'm due my 3rd at the end of the month, I would definitely get a double that converts into a single. 2 year olds get tired legs quickly and with another baby youll be knackered too so wont be fit to carry them with pushing a buggy if they refuse to walk. I'll have a 15 month age gap between my 2 youngest.

I would get a sling and use that for the baby while your older one needs the buggy, the switch her to the buggy board when she's ready. Double buggies can be very clunky.

my son was 22months when my second came along. I converted my uppa baby vista to a a double and alwo bought a joie side by side pram. If it helps, he still wants the choice to sit in the pram now at 3.5! I know some mums that didnt bother buying a double and they made it work. I would have been lost without mine. Especially in the early days, having the safety of them both being strapped in - i know my eldest wouldnt have stayed close if asked!

I was thinking of the bugaboo that you can convert to double when needed

There were 2yrs 9months between my two. I have an uppababy vista, so whilst DD2 could fit in the bassinet, we used it in double mode. But it was massive, heavy and I didnt like it. Once DD2 went into the seat, DD1 was 3yrs 3months and actually mostly managed on the buggy board with the vista in single mode (mostly as i wanted to avoid paying £300 for a new second seat as i couldnt find a 2nd hand one when i needed it). There have been a handful of times when I wished we also had a side by side double - mostly long days out / long train journeys to GPs / family etc. But we couldn't justify the cost. So if you have a lifestyle like that or without a car, then maybe its worth it? Theres an out n about nipper buy, sell, advice group that is pretty active with sales on FB.

The Bugaboos are notorious for being massive when in double mode - if you check the width measurements, its extremely wide. Do you ever use public transport? If you go the double route, get the narrowest one you can. Something like the nipper, babyjogger, mountain buggy, uppababy minu duo.

I don’t tend to use transport as me and my partner both drive

I’ve also heard good things about the ikkle baba double as friend of mine had similar age gap she now uses single one as her 3-4 tends to walk more but does get tired legs

Baby jogger city mini double.

18 months between mine, dc1 is disabled and it did him up to 5 years, then we got a disability buggy and his sibling went on the buggy board.

Fits on buses, in shops and doorways. Easy to put up and down, fantastic hoods (separate), can get a basinet for new born, lies flat, good basket. I cried when we sold it 😅

Got it second hand for £75, sold it almost 4 years later for £70.

I have a bugaboo donkey, i can't wait to use it 😂 it does feel quite big and bulky though but I don't know if that's because my single pram is so small and light that I'm using at the moment. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I had the Joie double buggy for my two youngest - lightweight, easy to fold up for storage and huge basket beneath - I loved it 🥰 they’re older now and I sold it for £100 (bought for £120 on a discount deal from Mamas and Papas through TopCashback as well 😉) They still talk about “the double buggy”, they have lots of fond memories of It 😊
