Holiday club for almost 12 year old interested in history, geography, politics

Hi! My almost 12 year old (birthday early August) has just finished year 7. The boy who threw rubbers and pencils past me in lockdown has thrived into an excellent student at secondary school. He is particularly interested in history, geography and politics.
He craves for something to do during the holidays, but isn't interested in traditional holiday clubs (mostly sports based for his age). Can you think of anything along the lines above? Have googled and googled... would even consider sth residential (but we are going on holiday on the 8th of August, so would have to be beforehand).
Thanks for any recommendations!

I think you can be confident that if something does exist for a 12 year old…. There will be spaces

@Inthecafe Yes, it just doesn't seem to exist! I found something online with Oxford Scholastica... quite expensive for two hours online a day.... and he doesn't like online anyway!

Probably OP, with good reason

What about a city break incorporating history etc?

Museums often have holiday activities. Might be aimed at younger children, but worth a look. Or see if there are any 'young archaeologist' or similar programmes. My county archaeology society does something along those lines. Or possibly your local university. (At twelve unfortunately he may be too old for some things but not old enough for others.)

Does he particularly want to interact with other people in an activity, or would be be happy to plan his own? Would he be interested in local history? That could cover history and geography. Where are you? If in England, I can suggest online resources, and you can learn a lot walking round your town just really looking at what you see. (This is my subject, if you hadn't guessed!)

Have you looked at the local univeristies? Ours runs a really good course but it sells out quickly.

We have a couple of local museums with activities like @HonoriaBulstrode says.

I looked up a holiday camp (residential) I went to as a teenager which had science etc. but it no longer runs. It was for, basically, geeks - I'm willing to bet many of them would have been diagnosed with ASD now.
