Did you keep baby clothes for future DC’s?

Currently sorting through DS clothes as he is moving up to 3-6 months and undecided whether to keep his smaller clothes for future DC as we hope to have another in the near future(would be a two-ish year age gap if everything works out). Initially i was planning to keep neutral sleepsuits, and the boutique/spanish style outfits and pop the rest on vinted. After sorting through everything we are still left with a huge storage box full and that’s only up to 0-3m🙈We do have a spare bedroom at the moment so storage isn’t an issue but i’m not sure whether to be more ruthless and declutter for the moment? What did everyone else do with their first DC’s baby clothes?

Yes we kept everything that was in decent condition. We used vacuum bags to take up less space!

I had a winter born DS (very cold winter) followed by a summer born DS (very hot summer) so we did end up donating a fair bit of stuff rather than using it again. But I'm glad we kept it just in case.

I did, I even organised it all into types of garment and drew little diagrams on the bags I'd stored them in so I knew what was in there. Then I put them all up in the attic. We even got to use some of the stuff that we hadn't been able to use the first time round because it was the wrong season. When we get up to age 3-4 though we'll have to buy all new trousers because DS1 evidently spends all his time crawling around on concrete and there are none left to hand down.

Yes, I kept everything from DS1 cause I knew I wanted more kids. DS2 used them all and I kept them again as I knew I wanted a third. Third turned out to be DD so I didn't use any of the clothes and got all new ones for her.

After DD I got rid of both her and the boys' clothes cause I thought I was done. I now want another but would have to start all over again with clothes.

I kept a lot of the neutral coloured newborn size stuff that what still in good condition.
I also kept a few “special” items that belonged to each baby - their first outfit, first hat etc.
And then bigger sizes I kept some “special” items that they’ve all worn - DC3 is 5 now and still wears a limited edition Green Day tshirt that I bought for DC1 when she was little.
I’ve also still got a beautiful, White Company candy-cane striped zip onesie, that my best friend’s mum bought for her first baby. He outgrew it quickly, so it was passed onto me. My DS wore it, she then had another baby so I sent it back to her. Her DC2 wore it, outgrew it and she sent it back to me and my DC3 wore it! It’s still in great condition and is quite sentimental. I’d absolutely use it again if lunacy were to come over me and I had another baby 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I put mine in vacuum storage bags. I wanted a two year age gap and ended up with 7.5 years. That stuff was in the way for YEARS! After 4 years I threw away the baby bath. I also went through some stuff and chucked it then, but I don’t know what as I still had masses of stuff! I regret keeping the less nice stuff - but that’s because we only have a tiny loft. My kids are the same sex, I would have been massively pissed off it I’d kept the very pink things for 7 years and then passed them on. I’ve just got the 2-3 stuff out of the loft and have found waterproofs and wetsuits, so I’m glad I don’t have to buy those again. Vinted wasn’t around when I packed it all away, so maybe I’d have kept less.

I kept mine in big vacuum pack bags, labeled them in sizes. It seems a waste to get rid if you plan to have another baby soon
