My 13 month old has had explosive diarrhoea for the past 10 days! I took him to the drs and they just gave him dioralyte which we won’t drink. I told them he won’t drink it they said don’t worry about it and don’t try force him. He’s just done another explosive poo and it’s got runny orange oil in it?? Now I’m panicking. Will post a pic but put it as sensitive. Any idea what could be going on?

No allergies? No temperature? No one else in the family has an upset stomach?

Feed him bland non fatty food, and plenty of water. Outside of the uk people use flat seven up (put it in a jug and mix hard to remove the fizz) to replace fluids.

It could well be the hot weather. Is he still breastfeeding? Breastmilk changes in the heat. As others have said, I'd just keep feeding him water and plain carby foods - bread, toast, plain pasta, chicken and see how he gets on. As long as he's eating / drinking, happy, not spiking a fever hopefully it will pass asap x

I second what ohthatsabitshit says, bland low fat foods, plenty of fluids, and monitor his overall health/hehaviour.
