Have you checked his mouth to see if he’s got any teeth coming through?

At 1 though I’d be tempted to give him a dose of Calpol and sit him on your knee whilst you eat your lunch and see if he picks anything up? Flowers

I would be worried about it especially if he’s not been well. My 18 month old has lived off yoghurts due to tonsillitis this week. Her throat is sore so would rather she was eating soft stuff and drinking fluids. Xx

There’s no such thing as a bit of the flu 🙄

Nothing to worry about. DD is nearly 2 and has had many phases like this especially up until about 14/15 months. Often when she is poorly/teething her appetite will go. It’s no different to when we have little appetite when we’re unwell, it will pass. In the meantime offer easy foods such as yoghurt etc to tide them over.

Nothing to worry about so long as the are getting enough fluids. Babies can dehydrate very quickly and that would warrant concern and action but not eating for a few days isn't a worry. Could be teething, sore throat, just not feeling it.

1 yr olds are notorious for changing their likes/dislikes. It’s not unusual at all. Try different foods and try not to obsess over their reluctance to eat. They generally eat eventually when they get hungry!

New teeth coming through could be the issue (also may account for appearing under the weather). Try some frozen sticks of banana, carrot, apple, pineapple, yoghurt etc to gnaw on. It can ease the pain in the gums.
There are some excellent homeopathic remedies for teething too.
Try not to get too anxious about this, your anxiety would pass to your 1yr old 🥰

Me and my daughter got tonsillitis last June. She was ill for 3 weeks. Until then she ate amazing.

Now nearly a year on what limited food she ate has dropped. Beans and 1 flavour of packet pasta is the only “dinner” food she will eat.

Toast, some cereals, yogurts and fruits.

She eats enough but I still worry. She is 2 years 8 months now. She would eat rice pudding before but now won’t.

The Health visitor wasn’t too concerned in her 2 year review as she said lots of toddlers go through the same after an illness.

I do give her multivitamin with her smoothie every morning so hopefully she is getting most of what she needs.

I still can’t help but worry though.
