Does anyone have one of these?

Can it be used as a booster seat for dining table? I know it’s designed for children travelling by car but they’re too young for that at the moment so I thought I could use it at the dining table (while on holiday for example) now and then in the future for car journeys as well.

whilst we are here… have you ever taken it on a plan and stored it under the seat ( as opposed to the overhead locker)?

Thank you!

They definitely fit under seats on a plane, only small.
i don’t think would work as a booster on a normal seat as there are no straps so it wouldn’t stay in place (unless you added some extra straps to keep it still), it’s only secured in the car by the seatbelt

Yes, we use it as a booster at the table and it's fine, and does have a strap to attach it to the seat, at least ours does but it's a very old one.

Ok good point, thank you for replying.

in that case, if I just sit it on top of a dining chair obviously with no straps, is it relatively sturdy? Children are 2 and 3 years old and they don’t need to be strapped in really. It’s literally just to get them a bit closer to the table. A bit like staking a few pillows underneath them as they eat.

I realise people have different levels of comfort with safety and this sort of thing but with that in mind, might we get away with it?

I could maybe just get a big block of foam/ travel booster seat but I like that fact that this one can store a few essentials, doubles up as a backpack, and in future could be used in the car too. It just seems like a better investment (but only if it could possibly work on a dining chair too)

It’s fairly sturdy so if you didn’t mind the possibility of movement then it would be ok. You could always see if you could extend the ‘backpack’ straps to fit round the legs of the chair, something like that, to try and make it more secure. There is a small strap that attaches to the seatbelt, that could also possibly loop round. I think it would stay fairly stable, it’s not slippy material

I think this is the one we normally attach the seat to the back of the chair with. We've never actually used it in a car yet, it was handed down to us and our kids are still too small.

We have one. The straps that sit under are textured so won’t move around too much. We’ve used it as a booster seat when eating out.

It’s very handy for day trips.
