I was shocked when I took her nappy off this morning it was dry followed by "that because I went to the toilet in the night when you were a sleep".
I know it could be a one off but I think she is start to get their. About 6weeks ago she woke in the early hour because she nappy had leaked and she had a wet bed that was a first(waking because to the wet bed not the leaky nappy thats normal). In the last 4 weeks or so she as gone to the toilet in the night again a new thing.
So please, was starting to feel she was never going to get there without medical help.

Not sure as DS (same age) doesn't wear a nappy we have found that on a normal school day increasingly he is dry, any change in routine (late night, holiday etc) it all goes to pot. Today I asked him to strip his bed, his response was but I haven't wet it, not sure he has realised that you wash sheets even if they are not wet. I too am hoping that he is finally getting there, we are away next weekend that will be the real test!

thanks geoteach never got as far as getting rid of the nappy as she just gets upset at not been able to be dry in the morning. Plus it saves me a lot of washing if she has a nappy at night.
She's been out of nappies in the day from about 26 months old.

My dd (nearly 6) is still regularly wet at night I think she just sleeps so deeply, if she is unwell or extra tired you can guarantee a wet nappy (and often sheets too). It is def a step in the direction. Sadly for my dd her 2 younger sisters are now both dry at night, she hasn't realised that the 2 year old is - I keep putting her in washable pull ups (no wrap) so she doesn't get upset about it!

I haven't even bothered going to the drs about it yet - I assume it's too young still?

She now gone to bed with no nappy as their was one way I was going to get one on her.In here eyes one dry night and that must mean she's dry at night.
Really hope she's not wet in the morning as she can't wait to be dry at night like her friends. Have put two bed pads on with a towel over both and have my fingers crossed for her.

I really hope it is for her too, perhaps if she can at least get a few dry weeks in she'll be okay to accept that most dc have occasional accidents.

Looking good she was dry this morning, you sure have seen the size of her smile this morning . Still keeping my finger crossed as it early days yet, plus can children just become dry at night just like that.

so pleased for her yes I think they can do it just like that, a huge part of it is when their bodies started producing enough of the correct hormone to concentrate their wee enough to go overnight plus their brain needs to remember to wake them up if they do need to go IYSWIM.
