so, it's simple:

you buy:
antiseptic wipes
cheap pants
cheap shorts / skirts
care mats
potty (optional)
sweets

and ask them every 15 mins if they need to go. mega praise if they do anything, rewarded with a sweet (optional).

but what are the care mats for?

and what do you do at night?

afaik..

care mats for in car/pushchair/other people's seats/nap times possibly (i didn't bother with them)

night time not much yet, sort day time first.

Seona1973 · 20/05/2008 20:14

are the care mats for naptime maybe? You keep with nappies at night I would think as you dont train for night-time as such as it is more when your lo is able to go throught the night without weeing which can happen at the same time as daytime dryness or can be years afterwards.

meaning, nappy on at night time. eventually they go dry, or if not you intervene by lifting them at midnight et. like a dream wee.

Have also been doing my cod boot camp threads swotting in anticipation of potty training DD. Sorry for hijack but my questions are:

When do you stop offering rewards and what do you do then when they ask for a smartie/button every time they use the loo?

Any views on going straight to loo roll? I'm not keen on buying those wet wipe loo roll things but wondering if need to do something about the transition?
