ADHD and Mean girl behaviour

DC has ADHD and can find friendships tricky. She often finds it difficult to read social cues. She is particularly unsure of how to deal with mean girl behaviour. She went to a party at the weekend and was playing with her usual group when they started to whisper and then ran away from her. What would you advise your DC to do?

This isn’t the first time she has experienced this and I really want to give her the right advice/ guidance so it doesn’t spiral, which it has done previously. We did wonder whether she would benefit from coaching/ counselling.
Has anyone found any books particularly helpful for their ADHD girl?
We encourage her to do lots of activities outside of school but she often wants to give them up / finds the long day overwhelming.
I have looked for a support group for girls with ADHD but can’t find one in the local area. Grateful for any advice!

Honestly we try to tell her to call it out 'thats not kind' and then remove herself from the situation. Often though she freezes or just accepts it. We try to use positive boundaries - you don't have to be around or be nice to people who are mean.
I think the trick is to find other ND girls to be friends with. Which can also be difficult. I wish there was some sort of local coffee meet up group for parents and child support.

This is exactly the same as my DC - she just accepts it, which then means it just grows and grows. I have looked for a local group but there appears to be none. It would definitely be beneficial to find other girls who are ND to be friends with, but not sure how to do this other than posting on local groups, which I’m not sure my daughter would like me to do.
thank you for taking the time to respond x
