Gift basket ideas for new parents

Hello! I am not a mum but my sister in law is due to give birth in 6 weeks time. As it is her second baby and her partner has a large family they seem to be covered in terms of nappies, nipple pads, baby outfits, teddies, pram etc. They live in a flat so want to avoid adding to overwhelm with lots of things. I would like to make a gift basket for her and her partner for after the birth to make them feel special and spoiled. Maybe I could include someone for their 4yO DD too as she will be becoming a big sister. I didn't know whether to include a spa voucher for two or if this would add to stress of trying to arrange a date for it after giving birth. She loves organic and holistic things. Any things you would've really liked as a treat after giving birth? Budget around £100.

Gift them to takeaway.

No spa voucher, because what are they going to do with the baby? It’s like giving someone a bottle of wine to celebrate a pregnancy. They won’t be able to enjoy it for probably a year or more.

I always do nice tea and coffee, biscuits or brownies (highly recommend Gimmee Brownies, I send them to everyone who has a baby pretty much 😂), and some nice hand cream (lots of hand washing with a new baby). Something for big sister would be really nice.

Not a spa voucher.
Lots of organic treats and snacks, maybe nice shower gel/shampoo because everyone uses that. Takeaway voucher would be useful.
Definitely something for big sister,
preferably something that will entertain her with minimal noise/mess and that doesn’t need much input from parents - like a sticker book

A selection of high end ready meals for the adults and older child. Ready prepped veg. Puddings, custard, nice tea and coffee. Biscuits. Chocolates.

This was the best new-baby present we ever got. I couldn't tell you what the rest were (2 dc). I have often given this to new parents, and it's always been very well received.

I got vouchers for Cook which I really appreciated, if they have a branch near you, that's a good bet - they do free delivery over a certain spend.

I bought my sister a baby medical kit. Teething powder, baby ibuprophen, nose sucker, saline spray, thermometer, portable first aid kit, sudocrem, tiny baby nail scissors etc. went down very well!!

Food. We had a freezer full of ‘Cook’ meals gifted us from two sets of friends. We are limited on space, second child so didn’t need anything but good easy food for us all. Toddler loves them too

They will already have that or have preferences.

I would go with Cook vouchers and a ceebies maagzine for your nephew.
