4 month regression. Please help!!

Hi Guys.
Im sure this topic has been mentioned many times... But I'm really really struggling.
I hope other mamas can help me/ advice me anything.

Some background info. 4 month old girl is on lactose free milk since 2 months old. Has bad excema that is fairly under control. Is currently trying to roll but cant quite turn her self yet. We practice loads in the day...but her reflux limits her tummy time

So, i understand i might be going through the 4 month regression, but when i say she cant settle to sleep, i mean nothing helps. Previously she I would partially rock her and then let her settle in her crib, and worked brilliantly. ( She was always napped 40-50 mins). Recently at night shel wake her kicking her legs in Frustration. Im waking every 40 mins all night.
I help her turn to her side, which SOMETIMES helps calm her and then i rotate her back.
But now i cant hold her, co sleep with her, pat her, shush her, rock her- she just kicks in frustration. I put her down she goes hysterical.

I have had 1 hour sleep for the past 4 days, and my frustration levels and getting really over stimulated. My poor 5 year old boy gets no time and a moody blunt mama.
I have to do school runs and have to spend time with my boy aswell..
But im sooo deflated and cant do this anymore
( My lil boy was a completely different baby)

Please help.
Anyone, any suggestions, anything that helped for anyone in the same sito.

Sorry not got many suggestions but I went through this with my now 3yo. He went through a phase around 4/5 months where he woke every 40 mins for a good few weeks and it was hell on earth - and I didn't have another child to look after. I tried a dummy - he previously didn't have one which helped a little and then moved him into his bigger cot as thought maybe he was waking up cause he was moving around in the smaller one. Not sure if thats what helped or was just developmental but he did go back to sleeping chunks after that. Hope it passes quickly for you, it's likely just a phase so just keep holding onto that if you can

Have you tried dentinox or other colic stuff? The leg kicking could be a sign of stomach discomfort. Is she swaddled or in a sleeping bag?

@Greenllama123 thank you. I appreciate knowing its normal. I have read parents who have actually stuck in it for like months. I do hope its a short phase, cant see my self mentally stable if this went on for weeks.

@Maraudingmarauders I have. I thought of that, as she was very gassy in the morning. I am using infacol. Shes in a sleeping bag as she hated swaddle since she was born. Lately iv taken the bag off because of temperature being hot lately. I try get rid of gas before sleeping with some exercise and tummy rubs.

Note i write this as im rocking her to sleep at silly o'clock.

Love2dream swaddle. Lifesaver.
i tried other swaddles where they restricted their arms and she hated them.
she loved this one.

@SamHas i thought you probably had, but always worth covering the basics. It might be worth trying a different version if you haven’t already - we had no luck with infacol but dentinox worked well. Or you could go to your go and ask to trial sole baby gaviscon if you haven’t yet, I really wish we’d done that, though as you’re on dairy free I guess that might be a path well trod?
I think some babies just suffer with their guts this age. We had a lot of leg bouncing. We also relied on the love to dream swaddle (arms up) as mentioned above which definitely helped but meant more of a kangaroo kick than anything else. I think they’re also just learning how to move and their own involvement in that process and it happens both consciously and subconsciously. I really hope it’s a short lived phase for you - feels like forever at the time but all do pass.

@bananasinabowl I am not aware of this. I will look into this.
