Booking a quiet session for neurotypical children

Our local activity center run a quiet session 10-12 which is geared for sen children and parents with adjustments made- less noise, quiet room open etc
There are spaces available this morning to book and we are keen to go. None of us have SEN, DH thinks it doesn't matter but I feel unsure if it's appropriate we attend, thoughts?

Ring them. Explain and ask if you can. They may prefer to have a late booking rather than an empty session.

No I wouldn't go at that time if my child didn't need those adjustments

How noisy are your DC? Smile

What makes it “quiet” and will your children make it not quiet anymore because they’ll be running around and screaming and throwing stuff? I don’t think it’s necessarily an issue as long as you respect the overall session goals.

I have a child with SEN and those session are never quiet.

Lots of children with vocal stims. Others having meltdowns etc.

They are good if you don't want to be judged for your child's behaviour but not good for actual quiet and calm.
