Hey, yes my daughter started 5 mornings a week for 2.5 hours at age 3. It was also April.

She was fine at the beginning, maybe I'll once every 4/5 weeks and it was minor. From the November of the next year the illnesses were absolutely horrendous. Between the November and March she was ill maybe 8-10 times.

This school year has been better and we have gone 2-3 months at some points with no illnesses. It's the summer months so hopefully they will be ok this term x

It will happen when they start. If they don't go to nursery then it just happens when they start school. It is inevitable as they get used to the host of other illnesses that all the kids bring in.

It was November to May for the first 3 years pretty consistently. As you’re starting later, yes, I’d say you will still get it a good chunk of the year and into school, but it’s spring now so probably not so bad until next winter.

It was no real issue other than impacting sleep. If they were truly ill, fever, d&v, chicken pox, they’d stay home, but mostly it was runny nose and cough and I didn’t keep them home for that. They can have a cough for months in the winter. Both mine were in nursery from 9 & 11 months, respectively. They are school age now and very rarely unwell.

Elderberry syrup every morning really helps

We have been regularly going to baby and toddler groups since he was a few months old like 3 days a week and also been around lots of friends children and things like soft play, so I am hoping he has built up a immune system. He was poorly a lot between the ages of 1-2 years

My DD started at 3 Easter this year, again just 2 mornings. She has been fine but we obviously haven’t been through a winter yet! I think it does help that it’s a small setting and she seems to spend most of her time outside
