Should I try CMPA toddler on cows milk?

Hi, my 15 month old was diagnosed with CMPA at a few weeks old and always used a CMPA formula. I've weaned her onto non dairy milk now so she no longer has formula.

She did the milk ladder and it went really well, now doesn't need anything to be dairy free. She eats normal yoghurt, cheese etc. Just wondering if I should slowly try to wean her onto cows milk fully now?

The guidance sort of runs out at the age of 1 and the hospital discharged her as a patient due to not needing any further allergy appointments. She only has one bottle a day now at bedtime so I was thinking of maybe adding an ounce at a time of cows to see how she gets on?

Milk is the top of the milk ladder, so if she is tolerating cheese yoghurt etc and all the other things on the list then yes try milk to the quantities on the list. My little girl didn’t get past the first stage for years and then when she was 4 I think sped up the ladder quickly and is now fine with anything. The advice I got when she was little was to try the ladder every 6 months. If she tolerated anything to keep those in her diet in between.

At 15 months she should be drinking from a sippy or open cup and not from a bottle.

Are you doing the 6 or 12 step milk ladder and which step is she on now?

Thank you that's really helpful @flyinghen it's really different to the advice I was given. They told me to start at 9 months old and do each step for around 4 weeks. Luckily she's tolerated everything up to now so will maybe start to give it a go.

@Inarutinarut she uses a sippy cup for water in the day but I have no problem with her taking a bottle to bed, she's a great sleeper and she likes it. I'll try and attach an image, mine had 4 stages and she's done them all.

Guidance around bottles is to protect the child's oral health.

Thank you for the advice, but respectfully that's not what I was asking about

Sorry Op, I meant to start the ladder/try again after 6 months if failed. If they don't fail you go up the ladder i'm pretty certain we did something new every 2 weeks.

If she's completed all the stages of the ladder you can give cows milk. I'd do it in a similar way to previous steps start with a small amount once a day ~1oz increase by an Oz a week until you are at a normal volume for her then give in other drinks during the day or in cereal etc
