well you wont be able to take exams until next year but you could start reading if you find the course sylabus maybe speak to local college and ask what they are studying for next year and begin reading

how did you decide on law..that seems a different direction fromm all the others

you like the academic route then

i was speaking to dp about all the stuff on that thread and describing my reasons for liking the things i liked the sound of... and we arrived at law as perfect for me from that.
funnily enough, its one of the many things i had vague 'i wanna do that' notions about all the way back at school... just had NO idea how to go about it.

i think maybe i'll fill the time between now and alevels starting by volunteering on stuff, doing frivolous leisure courses in things i wont have time for again and maybe begging an unpaid placement in a law firm making tea or shining shoes or something... sound good?

What other A Levels are you thinking of doing? The reason I'm asking is because some unis prefer you to have a couple of A Levels. Mine did, anyway.

have spoken to the right dept at southampton uni and the woman there says ideally shed like to see one A grade academic a level, or 2 B's. or an access course (in that order of pref).

im thinking of doing psychology a level. or english. or history maybe.

the other option is to do a degree in anthropology, history or english and then become a teacher.

A friend of mine did psychology and said it was challenging, but not impossible. I did English lit. and German A Levels and I found the German to be much easier than English. Good luck with whatever you choose

If you want to do Law do a degree in something interesting then do a conversion course (CPE)
