Hi
Would really appreciate some advice on a bit of a trend I'm noticing with DD5.

Every month or so (just on the 3rd one), she says she feels unwell in a morning then sicks up quite a lot clear liquid. She goes as white as a sheet at the time and for a little while after but then is absolutely fine. She was fine yesterday,.didnt eat loads but did eat and was ok.

Its always the morning (after we have woken up naturally) and always clear.

Is this just a normal thing (ive not encountered before...) or should I be looking out for something?

I think you should contact the GP to get the best advice

Mine always vommed with a fever. Is it worth taking her temp on these mornings, to see if she's perhaps fighting something off?

definitely go to the GP and explore what causes could be. My son (3) was vomiting every few days but otherwise seemed fine and this went on for 7 weeks… had lots of GP visits. Turned out he was hugely constipated/obstructed and we had no idea as he was pooping around the blockage (if that makes sense). Just to bear in mind one of the many causes of non-viral vomiting could be constipation. Good luck

I agree seeing your GP. Morning sickness can also be a symptom of a brain tumour in some children. Sadly know this due to a family friend being diagnosed. Obviously hope it’s something else of course Flowers

Thanks all. No temperature at all when it happens.

Will make an appointment just to be on the safe side. Thanks

@ProfessorTiddles hello, did you find out the cause of this?

ProfessorTiddles · 26/06/2025 14:18

Hi I started greating it as constipation as others suggested. Deliberately put fibre in her diet more and opened up discussions around bowel movements to try and get her to tell me if she was struggling to use the toilet. Touch wood- it hasnt happened since then.
