Maybe stick a towelling bib on? And then have a wipe throughout the day.

I found a barrier cream especially Lansinoh nipple cream to sort it. It’s safe if it goes in their mouths and stops dribble staying on the skin.

Bib or Vaseline

GingerLiberalFeminist · 15/04/2025 11:08

We used e45 on mu daughter as a barrier, sudocream was a bit thick and looked grim but worked too. She gets it occasionally even now at 2!

Dab the skin dry with a towel (don’t wipe).
Apply a barrier cream - we used vaseline but other suggestions in the thread are also good.
Keep drying off the skin throughout the day and reapply the barrier cream.
You might want to put on a moisturiser twice a day before the barrier cream. I've found Dream Cream from Lush works best on my DS but it's rich so you only need a tiny bit.
Dribble bibs are good as you can always use the bib to dry off the skin. Bibblyboo do plastic backed bibs which stop the moisture soaking through to clothes so they became my favourite.

My DS has just turned 3 and only recently stopped dribbling so I've been keeping dribble rash at bay for years.

Keep it dry (and yes I had loads of bibs to wash each day) and apply moisturiser and then barrier cream like Vaseline. You need to apply more than you think and reapply regularly. Also you may need to see a GP to get something to get rid of the rash first, and then use the all of the above suggestions to try to keep it from reappearing again. From personal experience though it will probably come and go until they eventually stop dribbling…

BibbilyBoo bibs were amazing for us at this age. It absorbed moisture away from DS’s face, and stopped his clothes getting wet, needing constant changing.

Letting the area get dry, and then a cream like My Little Coco everything balm sorted him out

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

i have been very persistent with this and have been using sudocrem especially after bath time along with towering bibs and it has worked amazingly! it has nearly cleared up, the GP said it’s possible that it could be eczema as he has that on his belly and the dribble can irritate it however thank you for all the advice i appreciate it a lot! :)
