12mo barely interested in solids (CMPA/egg allergy)

Hi all,
Ds2 has cmpa and suspected egg/soya allergy. He’s seen a dietitian who advised the milk ladder but reacts as soon as I try it. Im planning on calling the gp on Monday as he has very runny stools still (no longer mucousy) so suspect he may have some other allergies.

The problem is he just doesn’t really seem interested in solids at all. The only things he will eat are dairy free pouches, mushroom risotto (dairy free) and ricecakes. He won’t touch any fruit. I’ve made him many homemade purées/meals, tried finger foods but all to no avail.

He did have a breakthrough when he was around 9 months when 6 teeth all came through at once and he started happily munching on food. However now he normally just spits it out or mushes it up in his hands and lobs it on the floor. He’s in his high chair at the table with ds1 and I at mealtimes but still refuses.

He's not interested in water and won’t drink out of a beaker. He still wakes every 3 hours a night for his nutramigen milk (will only take 5oz a time). I’ve tried water instead when he wakes but he will wail until he has his milk. I’ve tried spacing out his bottles before mealtimes so he will eat but he still refuses and cries for milk. It’s also getting costly as he is prescribed 5 mini tubs per prescription so I have to buy it myself inbetween as it’s often delayed (£24 for a mini tub which lasts 3 days).

Ds1 has always been a great eater so I don’t know where I’m going wrong. Ds1 teeth came in very early in comparison so not sure if that’s what’s made a difference. Apart from his eating, ds2 has hit all milestones early and is very alert.

Any advice appreciated!

It’s really hard with CMPA babies. I was still bf my two at this stage.
They can have the fortified oat milk as 12 months.
Things mine would eat were the coconut collaborative chocolate pots, potato waffles, all sorts of baby crisps, dairy free ice cream, broccoli, asparagus, baby sweet corn, fish fingers, chippolatas, jars of spag Bol for babies, toast. Basically I fed them, especially my eldest, whatever they would eat. Calories in was the goal as at one point his diet was so limited and so reliant on me (and I was ill) the dietitians wanted to avoid any tube feeding situation. As they got older they ate a wider range of foods and it has continued to increase now both are at infant school. So if home made cake is what he’ll eat give him it.
If you google depression cake or chocolate wacky cake you’ll find an excellent egg and dairy free chocolate cake recipe. Mine ate a lot of it.
